Installing Windchill Gateway on Windchill PDMLink
Refer to the bundled PTC Solution Installer (PSI) in the PTC Solution Installer CD for details on how to install Windchill Gateway for Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager. When you install the gateway, by default you are configuring the adapters to Sun's Message Oriented Middleware. See the following installation notes if you are running a different Message Oriented Middleware server.

• Message Oriented Middleware is installed and configured.
Installation Overview
You must manually enter the following information during the installation process.

JMS Base URI
The Base URI that you created on the OpenDS for the gateway.
JMS Base URI User Name
The Windchill Directory Server administrator user name.
Example: cn=Manager
JMS Base URI Password
The Windchill Directory Server administrator password.
Example: admin
JMS Queue Connection Factory
The connection factory configured on the MOM server.
Example: cn=GatewayQCF
JMS Queue Name
The message queue configured on the MOM server.
Example: cn=GatewayQ
Gateway Administrator User Name
(specific to your site)
Gateway Administrator Password
(specific to your site)
JMS Inbound Queue Name
The inbound message queue configured on the MOM server.
Example: cn=GatewayInboundQ
JMS Service Name
The domain that you created on the LDAP server.
Example: SunMQ
Default Target Context for Imported Data
Example: /wt.inf.container=PTC/wt.pdmlink.PDMLinkProduct=ModelManager

If you have a Message Oriented Middleware other than OpenMQ, the properties of the adapters will not be updated. Consult Gateway Configuration For TIBCO EMS in the Windchill Help Center if you have a TIBCO EMS, or your system administrator if your Message Oriented Middleware is not Sun's.
As an administrator of Windchill, go to Site ▶ Utilities ▶ Info*Engine Administration Page, and select the Windchill Adapter from the adapter list. The Windchill Adapter page looks like this:

The property com.ptc.distproc.credential sets the gateway administrator password in the <>/DistProc/distproc.properties file. This is the password of the participant who allows the adapters to interact with the gateway controller in Windchill. If encryption is enabled, then the JMS Base URI, WES Base URI and Queue Base URI fields need to be encrypted. See the online help for system administration in the Windchill Help Center for more details.
