Installing Windchill Gateway on Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager Server

Windchill Gateway components are bundled with every Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Manager Server installation.

Prerequisites

• Message Oriented Middleware is installed and configured.

• Gateway Components installed on Windchill PDMLink.

Component Installation Procedure

To install Windchill Gateway on Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager:

1. Run the Manager Server Configuration Setup utility located in the Creo Elements Direct Manager Server application folder on your system.

The setup utility launches and displays the Choose Components panel.

2. In the Choose Components panel, select Windchill Gateway as shown in the following figure.

3. Click Next.

The setup utility guides you through the following panels.

The entries shown in the panels are intended for example only. Use your desired values based on the input descriptions in the following tables.

4. Manually enter the information described in the following table, then click Next.

Input	Description
JMS Base URI	The Base URI that you created on the OpenDS for the gateway. For details, see Creating a Base URI in Windchill Directory Server
JMS Base URI User Name	The Windchill Directory Server Administrator User Name Example: cn=Manager
JMS Base URI Password	The Windchill Directory Server administrator password Example: admin
JMS Queue Connection Factory	The connection factory configured on the MOM server. Example: cn=GatewayQCF For details, see Creating LDAP Entries for Administered Objects
JMS Queue Name	The message queue configured on the MOM server. Example: cn=GatewayQ For details, see Creating LDAP Entries for Administered Objects
JMS Inbound Queue Name	The inbound message queue configured on the MOM server. Example: cn=GatewayInboundQ For details, see Creating LDAP Entries for Administered Objects

5. Manually enter the information described in the following table, then click Next.

Input	Description
Windchill Home URL	The URL of Windchill PDMLink.
Windchill Version	The version of Windchill PDMLink.
Windchill Instance	The Windchill Instance Name. See Info*Engine Architecture in the Windchill Help Center for details.
Windchill Process Name	Choose a unique name for the process queue that is used in Windchill for publishing jobs. Example: cn=MMProcess_kopitz13l For details, see Creating LDAP Entries for Administered Objects
Public Key File	The public.key file of Windchill’s Distributed Process Controller. It can be found in the following location: <Windchill Installation Directory>\Windchill\DistProc

6. Manually enter the information described in the following table, then click Next.

Input	Description
JMS User	The user name of the Message Broker. Example: admin For details, see Adding a New Broker in Message Oriented Middleware
JMS Password	The password for the Message Broker. Example: admin For details, see Adding a New Broker in Message Oriented Middleware
Default Import User	The Windchill participant used when no User Mapping is configured on the Model Manager server-side. Example: wcadmin For details, see Adding a New Broker in Message Oriented Middleware
Number Generation User	The Windchill participant used when retrieving part numbers from Windchill. Example: wcadmin
Number Generation Password	The password of the Windchill participant used when retrieving part numbers from Windchill.
