User-Driven Publishing
The publishing workflow in FORAN is as follows:
1. Set the connection parameter in the FCM module.
2. Open the structure/auxiliary structure/equipment in the FCM module.
3. Check for publishable items by selecting Publish > Highlight Publishable Items and mark items for publishing.
4. Select Publish > Publish from Scene and publish the items to Windchill.

User cannot publish structure or equipment from FORAN to Windchill, if auto numbering is selected off. But, user will be able to create the part manually keeping auto numbering off.
A user of FORAN invokes publishing to Windchill in the following manner:
• Select an IP part in FORAN FBUILDS
• To Publish Objects from FORAN to Windchill – Lock the IP Part. Click right mouse button FPLM > Model tree manager > Publish/Update FORAN Tree Sub-Assembly in Windchill
• To Publish Objects from Windchill to FORAN Lock the IP Part. Click right mouse button FPLM > Model tree manager > Publish/Update Windchill Tree Sub-Assembly in FORAN
