Inserting and Replacing a Recently Created Part
Recently Created parts are parts that have been created in the current session of Product Structure Explorer (draft or annotation modes) but have not yet been saved to the database. For example:
Part 001
Part 002
Part 003
In this scenario Part 001, Part 002 and Part 003 have already been saved to the database. A new part, Part 004, is created in draft mode as a child part of Part 002, and is not saved to the database:
Part 001
Part 002
Part 004: Exists only in the open session of Product Structure Explorer, and has not yet been saved to the database.
Part 003
Use the Insert Recently Created function to add Part 004, which has not been saved to the database and exists only in the current session of Product Structure Explorer, to another part in the structure.
*
As the part has not yet been saved to the database using the Insert Existing action will not find this part.
Part 001
Part 002
Part 004: Exists only in the open session of Product Structure Explorer, and has not yet been saved to the database.
Part 003
Part 004: Exists only in the open session of Product Structure Explorer, and has not yet been saved to the database.
