Change Association Rule Administration
You can use change associations to configure relationships between change objects. For example, you can configure the relationship between a manufacturing change notice to an engineering change notice, a problem report to a change notice, or an item-specific change request to a block change request.
Change association rules define relationships when linking change objects in the following tables:
Associated Process Objects
Associated Reference Objects
Implementation Plan

The ability to apply rules to the Implementation Plan table is only available when the Release.optIn property is set to true. For more information, see Optionally Enabled Features.
Site and organization administrators can create, modify, and view change association rules using the Change Association Rules table:

Windchill provides some rules by default.
To enforce these rules, Windchill must be in Mixed or Flexible mode. For more information, see Flexible Change Link Conversion.
