Manage Persisted Configurable Properties
The
Persisted Configurable Properties utility enables site administrators to view and set properties that are persisted in the database, such as
Multi-Language Translation Mode, to set the translation mode. These properties are stored permanently in the database, ensuring they remain active across system restarts or upgrades. Although they are configurable, most are intended to be set only once. We recommend that you review the default settings for your Windchill to ensure that the settings meet your business requirements. An administrator can configure the property settings as necessary, if needed.
The following actions may be available for each property from the right-click actions menu.
Set Property—Enables site administrators to view more detailed information and change the property value.
Setting a Property
To set or change a property value, use the following procedure:
1. From the right-click actions menu for the property, select Set Property.
The Set Property window opens, with the property name, long description, context, and current property value displayed.
2. Change the property settings in one of the following ways:
◦ In the Value field, select an option or enter the new value.
◦ A warning may appear, click OK to continue.
◦ In the Comments field, enter any comments about the property value, up to 500 characters. Include the rationale for choosing the property value for future reference.
3. Click OK.
The Persisted Configurable Properties window refreshes, and the new property value is displayed.
