Behavior of Replication Process During Overwrite
When importing an object, the system compares the revisions and iterations available in both the source and target systems. Only objects marked as Locked for Replication in the target system are considered. The revisions and iterations in the target must either match or be a subset of those in the source. If any revision or iteration exists in the target but not in the source, none of the versions will be eligible for import.
The following examples illustrate scenarios that meet the data replication criteria.
The following examples illustrate scenarios that do not meet the data replication criteria.
When the revision and iteration requirements are satisfied, the objects are overwritten during the replication process. The replication locks applied to all overwritten versions are then converted into product design locks.
