Incomplete Dissociation of Parts Marked as Ready for Replication but Pending Import
In the target system below, CAD Object A.1 and CAD Object A.2 are marked as ready for replication, which in turn means that the associated WTPart P and WTPart Q are also ready for replication.
Source System
Target System
CAD Object A.1
CAD Object A.1
WTPart X
WTPart P
CAD Object A.2
CAD Object A.2
WTPart Y
WTPart Q
When data is imported from the source system, CAD Object A.1 and CAD Object A.2 are overwritten, as shown below. However, WTPart P and WTPart Q remain unchanged since they are already present locally on the target system. In this scenario, all links between the CAD objects and their corresponding WTParts are removed, resulting in WTPart P and WTPart Q being disassociated from CAD Object A.1 and CAD Object A.2 respectively. Despite this disassociation, the part structure between WTPart P and WTPart Q remains intact.

Because WTPart P and WTPart Q are not overwritten during the import, they may retain outdated or unwanted data. Therefore, after the import, do not remove the Locked for Replication from these parts.
To clean up any outdated or unwanted data, you can re-import WTPart P and WTPart Q using one of the following methods:
Overwrite them directly
Use Save As to create new copies
Mark them as obsolete
*
Avoid creating another Object Collector or Context Collector package to remove the Locked for Replication for:
Parts that were previously linked to objects
Parts that remain unchanged while their associated objects were overwritten
If you intend to use an Object Collector or Context Collector package to remove the Locked for Replication, you must request an enhancement from PTC, as this process requires additional data cleanup.
