Guidelines for ePLM License Transition
This topic provides guidelines for environments in which legacy PLM licenses and new ePLM licenses are enabled simultaneously.
Legacy PLM licenses and ePLM licenses must not be assigned concurrently to the same user. For example, a Design Engineering license must not be assigned to a Windchill Base user.
All prerequisites and licensing rules remain applicable to their respective licensing models in a mixed installation. For example, if the Parts Classification capability is delivered through ePLM packaging, existing Base and Advanced users in that instance must purchase Parts and Classification licenses for each Base and Advanced user.
If a combination of legacy and ePLM Active Daily User (ADU) licenses is installed on the same Windchill instance, license enforcement is uncapped for all licenses.
*
It is recommended that Navigate ADU licenses be converted to a single licensing model.
