Next Gen User Interface in Windchill
Windchill 13.1.2.0
Description
This release introduces the next generation of the Windchill user interface (Next Gen UI) that provides:
• New and improved design that offers more features and greater customization than the classic user interface.
• More spacious display of information.
• Enhanced user experience.
• Faster and easier access to the frequently used content.
• Visual representation of data for better insights and decision making.

When you update to Windchill 13.1.2.0, the new Apache configurations required for enabling the Next Gen UI pages are not applied by default. To ensure the Next Gen UI pages work in Windchill, you must enable the new configurations as described in Preparing to Update the Installation.

The following capabilities are available in the Next Gen UI:
• Next Gen

Home page—You can switch between the classic

Home page and the new

Home page using the
New Home toggle that appears in the upper-right corner of the classic

Home page (the default page that appears when you log into
Windchill.)
The new

Home page appears when you turn on the
New Home toggle. To return to the classic

Home page, turn off the
New Home toggle.
• Next Gen Folders page—You can switch between the new and classic Folders pages using the New Folders toggle.
The toggle appears in the upper-right corner of the classic Folders page that you can access from the navigator through the Products, Libraries, and Projects contexts.
• Next Gen Context pages—You can switch between the corresponding new and classic Products, Libraries, and Projects tables using the New Products, New Libraries, and New Projects toggles, respectively.
Each toggle appears in the upper-right corner of the corresponding classic page that you can access from the navigator through its respective context as below:

• Next Gen Table—The new table design in the Next Gen UI provides more options for making a table easier to customize along with enhancing the user experience.
