Working Repositories
ESI<Purpose>Repository_<MajorRelease>_<MinorRelease>_<MaintenanceRelease>_<Di stribution Target System>_v<BuildNumber>_<Description>.dat
The following describes the fields in this standard:
Field
Description
Purpose
A short description of the functionality of the repository, using Windchill ESI Capitalization Notation.
MajorRelease
The major release number.
MinorRelease
The minor release number.
MaintenanceRelease
The maintenance release, if any.
Distribution Target System
A three-character code, in captal letters, representing the name of the distribution target system. This field should only be used if the Repository is specific to one Distribution Target System. For example, use “SAP” for SAP R/3, and “ORA” for Oracle Applications.
BuildNumber
The build number of the repository; always three digits.
Description
A short description of the changes in functionality contained within the working repository.
Working Repository Fields
For example, the 7.0 maintenance release M010, version 25 of the repository containing primary business logic for Oracle Applications, containing a modified Create BOM mapping should be called: ESIMasterRepository_7_0_M010_ORA_v025_UpdatedCreateBOMMapping.dat
The 7.0 maintenance release M010, version 25 of a repository containing simulated Windchill functionality, with modifications to handle a new error handling code, should be called: ESIWindchillSimulationRepository_7_0_M010_v025_NewErrorHandlingCode.dat
