Assign Standard Control Characteristic from Process
To assign standard control characteristic from EPM document associated with the selected operation in the Control Characteristics tab:
1. Click 
. The Control Characteristics from Process dialog box opens. The dialog box displays a list of all the model items associated with the part.
. The Control Characteristics from Process dialog box opens. The dialog box displays a list of all the model items associated with the part.2. Select one of the following options from the Characteristic Number list.
◦ New if you want the control characteristic record to have the name, same as that of the model item.
◦ The existing standard control characteristic name if you want the standard control characteristic record to have the name, same as that of the standard control characteristic.
3. Click OK. A record of the standard control characteristics is created in the Control Characteristics tab.
