Managing Illustrations in the Advanced Manufacturing Resource Browser Using Creo Illustrate
The system displays the following Illustration menu when you right-click an operation and select Illustration in the Advanced Manufacturing Resource Browser:

• Update Illustration— For more information, see Updating an Illustration in Advanced Manufacturing Resource Browser.

In all the topics under this section, the term illustration denotes a reference published document.

The actions are available under the following circumstances:
• If the Manage Illustrations with Creo Illustrate preference is set to Yes.
• When operations are selected.

If other object types are selected, the menu is grayed out.

Key Points
• If you select multiple operations and click any of the illustration actions, the system initiates the action only for the last selected operation. For example, if you select Operation 1, Operation 2, and Operation 3 in the same order, and initiate the Remove Illustration action, the system removes only Operation 3.
• When you save the operation, the associated illustration files move forward to the new iteration of the operation.
• You can create a reference document using the New Illustration action. You can copy a reference document associated with an operation to other operations. Use the 
Copy action available in the References Documents section of the Documentation tab to copy a reference document. The reference document is visible in the work instruction if its value is set to Yes in the Show in Work Instructions column. For more information, see Displaying Illustrations in Work Instructions.

Attributes can be present on this link. The system carries forward link information only when you copy a document from one operation to another operation in the same process plan. |
• You can copy an illustration associated with an operation to other operations. However, you can open or update the illustration only from the original location from where it was copied. For more information, see Updating an Illustration in Creo Illustrate.
