Adding Parts using Assemble As
You can pick one of the following three options when you click Assemble As from the middle tool-bar pane in BOM Transformer:
• Assemble As Is – Use the option to add an existing downstream equivalent part to the structure. If there is no existing downstream equivalent part, then the selected or copied part is added to the structure.
• Assemble As New Branch - Use this option to create a new branch from the selected or copied part using the default view of the downstream view
• Assemble As New Part- Use this option to create a new part from the selected or copied part using the default view of the downstream view.
The options for Assemble As are available only if the preference Display all "Assemble As" type actions is set to Yes.
If this preference is set to No, the Default Assemble As Behavior preference determines which Assemble As action is performed when you click the Assemble As icon from the middle toolbar. You can set any one of the three options mentioned above as the default action in the Default Assemble As Behavior window.
Both the preferences are available under Associativity.
