SOLIDWORKS parameters must use identical syntax to their comparable Windchill attributes, or an error occurs on upload. In order to prevent errors that may occur when the user manually tries to keep the values for, for example, model number and name of their CAD models, in sync with the Windchill standard attributes, the system provides the ability to map a Windchill system attribute to a SOLIDWORKS parameter.
