Upgrade
This tab collects information on the upgrade mode that you would like to use, the username and password of the Windchill solution administrator, and the optional phase for this upgrade run and Base Data Language selection. The following table describes each option:
Input Option
Default
Description
Upgrade Mode
Test: Use this mode when running test upgrades.
Production: Use this mode for a production upgrade or a test upgrade mimicking the production upgrade. Running in production disables the Run Upgrade to Completion option under the Options tab.
Interactive Mode
Yes
Interactive Mode determines whether the upgrade will stop and require user input after each phase. Set to No in order to run upgrade without user interaction. If you select No, the upgrade does not begin running without user interaction until after the Initialize Upgrade phase has completed
Windchill User
This is Windchill administrator username from the source Windchill installation. This is needed for authentication at various stages in the upgrade.
Windchill Password
This is the Windchill administrative user’s password from the source Windchill installation.
Windchill Server Base Data Language
<Select Language>
Choose the same language that was selected for the Base Data during the target installation of Windchill. Incorrect language selection will result in user interface errors. The base data language of the target and source systems should be the same. If the locale selection for the target is different than the source, a warning appears, prompting you to verify your selection.
