Preparing to Update the Installation

This includes not only what steps must be performed to install the updates, but how the updates may affect configurations, site-modified files, and customizations as well as end users.

Windchill 13.0.2.0 release onwards, no legacy change link data is allowed. Before performing PSI update, it is mandatory to run Flexible change converter utility and set system to flexible mode on the source windchill setup. This is required to convert the legacy links into the flexible links as no legacy change link data are allowed. With the PSI update, since the codebase is updated to 13.0.2.0 release and the utility cannot be run on 13.0.2.0 release onwards, make sure to take backup of the source Windchill codebase.
