PTC Enterprise Systems Integration Domain
The PTC Enterprise Systems Integration (ESI) domain provides access to the enterprise systems integration capabilities of Windchill. It enables association of business objects such as Parts, Documents, Process Plans, and so on with the Distribution Targets.
A Distribution Target is the destination for data sent from your Windchill solution. Windchill solution is the supported PDM system on which Windchill Enterprise Systems Integration (ESI) is installed. A Distribution Target represents another enterprise system, such as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, or an entity within that system, such as a manufacturing plant or location.
The PTC Enterprise Systems Integration domain is available only when Windchill Enterprise Systems Integration services are installed.

The DistributionTarget entity represents the Distribution Target Windchill objects.
A Distribution Target represents another enterprise system, where you want to send the data from Windchill.
A Distribution Target can be managed at the Site or Organization context in Windchill system.
