Locking a Preference
To lock a preference, use the following procedure:
1. From the context level at which you want to lock the preference value, select Set Preference from the right-click actions menu for the preference.
2. On the Set Preference window, select the Locked checkbox.
3. Click OK.
The preference is now locked at the current context level.

Before locking a preference value at the site or organization level, it is recommended that you delete any existing child instances for that preference. For more information see Deleting Preference Child Instances.
