If you want to refresh the browser session use the browser reload action. If you want to refresh only the upstream structure pane or downstream structure pane, PTC recommends that you use the > refresh option in the respective pane.
In BOM Transformer, when you open an older version of an object and reload the browser, the browser will display the older version of the object. However, when you click
, the browser will display the latest version of the object.
Consider the following points related with the Reload action:
• The reload action may take an extended duration of time to execute than refresh actions and may also impact the performance of the browser.
• The reload action in the Chrome and Firefox browser is similar to the refresh action in Internet Explorer browser. Though the terminology varies, the execution behavior is same in each of these browsers.
• The reload action can also occur automatically depending on the operations performed in the current BOM Transformer session. Certain actions such as the Set State action in BOM Transformer also triggers the reload action. You can use the reload action when a BOM Transformer session times out. A timed out BOM Transformer session, if not reloaded, may result in errors.
• The system remembers the filter criteria that you had set before initiating the Reload action.
