Remove Applicable Parts Defined for Standard Control Characteristics
You can remove the applied standard control characteristics from parts using one of the following methods:
Using Tree Structure
1. In the part structure of BOM Transformer, select the applicable child parts that you want to remove and the standard control characteristics that are applied to these child parts.
2. Right-click and select Remove Applicable Parts.
3. Click Yes to confirm the action.

The Remove All Applicable Parts action located below Remove Applicable Parts lets you remove all the applicable child parts for the selected standard control characteristics. To use the action, you only need to select the standard control characteristics. However, only Manufacturing Manager and Manufacturing Engineering Manager roles can access this action.

Using Visualization Area and Tree Structure
1. In part structure of BOM Transformer, select the standard control characteristics applied to the child parts that you want to remove.
2. In the Visualization tab, select the applicable child parts to be removed.
3. In the toolbar of the Visualization tab, click the 
Update Control Characteristic menu and select Remove Applicable Parts.
Update Control Characteristic menu and select Remove Applicable Parts.4. Click Yes to confirm the action.
After you confirm the action, the relevant path for the applicable child parts is removed. The Applicable Parts column in the Control Characteristics tab of the parent part that owns the standard control characteristics does not display the path information.
