Setting Effectivity Range
To set the effectivity range for an object that has an effectivity type of Date, click the calendar icon 
directly after the Effectivity Range field on the Add Effectivity table. The Set Effectivity Range window opens.

 | Add | Adds an effectivity range to the table. Enter the start date and end date for each range. Clicking the Open Ended checkbox allows you to set the range with no end date. |
 | Remove | Takes the selection out of the Set Effectivity Range table. |
Enter the dates in the Start Date and End Date columns or click the icon to the right of the fields and select the appropriate date.
 | The Display of the Effectivity End Range preference controls the display of the effectivity end range when it matches the start range. When set to Yes, displays the effectivity end range when it matches the start range. When set to No (default), keeps the effectivity end range blank when it matches the start range. |
