Revise and Check Out (SOLIDWORKS)
The Revise and Check Out command enables you to create a new revision of a CAD document and checks it out to the active workspace. In SOLIDWORKS, select > to access this command.

The Revise and Check Out command revises and checks out the generic and the active instance. The remaining instances are only revised using the Revise and Check Out command. This behavior applies only when the Independently Modify Instances preference is set to Yes and the active instance is managed.
