The following table describes the preferences applicable to the New CAD document subcategory.

Synchronize CAD File Name with CAD Document Number

If set to Yes, synchronizes the CAD model name with the CAD document number in the New CAD Document user interface. This synchronization is not applicable when auto-numbering is in effect.
Set CAD Document Number Same As Part Number
Yes (default)
No
This preference only affects CAD Document Number if you are also creating a part. It specifies whether the Number for a new CAD Document should be set to the same value as its related Part. If set to Yes, the Same as Part Number checkbox on the New CAD Document page is selected by default.
