An As Stored configuration is automatically created for any CAD Document that has references to other CAD Documents, such as Drawings, Assemblies, and parts with references to other parts. As Stored records the precise configuration of references that were present in the Workspace at the time the parent CAD Document was checked in. The As Stored configuration is not created for individual parts, as there is no configuration of references to be recorded. The purpose of the As Stored configuration is to allow you to retrieve parent objects with the same configuration of references that were present when that CAD Document was last checked in, or “as it was stored” in the database.
