Conflict Handling and Resolution
In Creo Packages, conflicts occur when the folder structure, life cycle, and revision schemes of the objects in the package and the target PLM system do not match. In such cases, you must resolve all conflicts before importing the package.
PTC recommends the following best practices:
1. Review the contents of the package created by the export operation.
2. Review the logs for any errors during the import operation.
3. Do not modify the objects imported from other source PLM systems.
4. Do not delete iterations of objects imported from other PLM systems without notifying the original source PLM system site administrator.
5. Verify the objects for data integrity in the target database after the import.
6. Do not change the extensions of the packages.
7. Avoid check-in and check-out of objects or its dependents that you are currently importing using Creo Packages.
