Configuring Search with User Preferences
You can configure the search results to include or exclude manufacturer and vendor parts.
To configure the search results table:
1. Click Home 
> .
> .2. Click the Preference Management link.
3. Go to the Search section.
4. Edit the Excluded Part Subtypes preference. In the Set Preference window, specify the value in the Value field.
For example, to exclude supplier parts, enter the following value: com.ptc.windchill.suma.part.ManufacturerPart,com.ptc.windchill.suma.part.VendorPart
5. Click OK.
Now when you search, the supplier parts are excluded in the results.
