Site Utilities
Site > Utilities displays the utilities available for performing administrative actions that affect the entire Windchill solution. The utilities links on Site > Utilities launch the utilities in the site context; objects that are created at the site level are stored at the site level.
The following tables list the utilities that may be available from the Utilities page. The utilities that are available depend on what you have installed.
The utilities are grouped according to whether they are system administration, business administration, or auditing administration utilities.
System Administration
The system administration links provide access to the administration of your site environment, such as data exchange or queue management. These links are described below:

Schedule company non-working days for workflow deadline calculations, and to delegate work.
Launch utilities that allow you to set up file server sites, vaults, and folders, create and update replication rules, and schedule replication sessions.

Manage the exchange of file data and metadata with other systems using XML files.
View, create, and modify directory service entries.
Manages the mapping of attributes between a sending system and your system when importing package delivery files.
Lists the set of personal cabinets of users who have been deleted from the system, and allows you to delete those personal cabinets.

Deleting a user does not automatically delete the personal cabinet for that user. This is because the administrator must first dispose of the objects that the user may have left in the personal cabinet.
Automatically collect and send diagnostic data to PTC. It serves as a medium to help lower your cost through automated recommendations and helps PTC improve the quality of its products. You can enable or disable diagnostic reporting.
Manage license and view license information.
Create and manage purge jobs to permanently remove data from the Windchill system.
Manage background queues and queue entries.
Provides an overview of the status of key server processes.
Gather existing information from your Windchill environment and optionally send the gathered information to PTC Technical Support. The information that can be gathered includes logs, property files, XCONF files, generated reports, and other site-specific files that may be requested by Technical Support.
Create and manage task delegates and delegate repositories.
View the status of CAD and document workers and start, stop, and configure them.
Business Administration
The business administration links provide access to the administration of business objects within the site, such as life cycle and workflow templates. These links are described below:

Create a package of business administrative changes for exporting the changes to a production Windchill system. It allows importing of business administrative changes from a Windchill system.

Create, manage, and view classification structures and the associated classification attributes and constraints.

View and edit the transaction history of a published object.
View information about the Windchill search index.
View information on how to define business object numbering schemes.
Create and manage life cycle templates used for defining the phases and transitions of various business objects.
Create and manage rules for object initialization that set default values for object attributes when a new object is created, and set display characteristics that constrain attribute values.
Create users, groups and organization participants.
Manage administrative domains and their access control, indexing, and notification policies.
View and set preferences for your site.
View, create, edit promotion preferences.
Control the generation of visualization objects.
Create, update, and delete reports using the Query Builder tool. A report is the output of a predefined search and is used for generating statistics and metrics against business information.

Create and manage team templates. When creating a life cycle-managed object, you can use a team template as a base for the team participants throughout its life cycle.
Manage type definitions, attribute definitions, measurement systems, and quantities of measure. Users with the appropriate permissions can create, modify, or remove types or attributes. Additionally, users can configure display units for attributes, associate attribute definitions with type definitions, and constrain the values of those attributes.
Customize text used in user interfaces such as messages and labels for business needs.

Create and manage a network of available product structure views.
Manage the visualization configurations including watermark files and publishing rules.

Create and manage workflow templates.

Search for workflow processes, view activity and task level details, restart stalled workflows, and terminate or delete workflows.

Auditing Administration
The auditing administration links provide access to the administration of auditing within the site. These links are described below:
