About Task Form Templates
A task form template contains general formatting information, content, and variables that are displayed to a task assignee when a task for an activity is executed through a workflow process.
As part of the process of modifying or creating a workflow template, you can modify or create task form templates.
The template can be rendered in the following ways:
JSP
The task form template is a JSP file that renders in HTML.
Create a custom tag file and use the tags in the JSP file to retrieve page components.

XDP(PDF)
The task form template is an XDP file that renders as a PDF. This requires Adobe Designer. For more information, see Creating Task Form Templates with Adobe Forms Software.
Native
The task form template is created in Windchill and renders in HTML.

When uploading JSP/XDP files from the New Task Form Template or Edit Task Form Template page, the Choose File option is available only for:
A Site Administrator.
A Context Manager or an Administrator who is also a member of either the Workflow Authors group or the Workflow Administrators group.
