Updating Co-produce Usages by Collecting Co-produce Objects
To update multiple co-produce usages at the same time, you need to first collect the co-produce object associated with the usages and then replace the usages with the required parts.
*
If the com.ptc.windchill.mpml.coproduce.manageIndependentCoproduce property is set to false, you also need to collect the primary and secondary parts before proceeding with the replacement. For more information, see Updating Co-produce Usages by Collecting All Associated Objects.
Perform the following steps to update the co-produce usages:
1. From the BOM Transformer, open the information page of the co-produce usage that you want to update.
2. On the part information page, select Mass Update Manufacturing Objects from the Actions menu.
*
Make sure the objects on which the Mass Update Manufacturing Objects action is initiated are in the checked-in state.
The Mass Update Manufacturing Objects Assistant dialog box opens, showing the selected co-produce usage on the Select Target Objects tab.
3. Select the usage and click Collect Objects.
The Return Collected Objects dialog box opens.
4. Select the usage, and click Collect Co-produce Parts in the toolbar.
The co-produce object associated with the selected co-produce usage is collected.
5. Click OK. The Return Collected Objects dialog box closes.
The Mass Update Manufacturing Objects Assistant dialog box displays the collected objects.
6. Click Next.
7. On the Select Replacement tab, click to specify the object that should replace the selected co-produce usage and click OK.
8. In the Mass Update Manufacturing Objects Assistant dialog box, click Finish.
The existing usage is replaced with the new usage in the co-produce object structure. The system iterates the parent part of the selected usage and the associated co-produce object.
