Setting Document Configuration Specifications
The workspace preferences enable you to specify a default CAD document filter that is used for workspace actions, in the scenarios like the following ones:
To choose the version of the CAD Documents shown in the Commonspace from Creo’s Open dialog box, Open from Windchill, and the Windchill File System Management.
To choose the version of the objects to add to the workspace if only CAD Documents are selected OR if CAD Documents and parts are selected for a workspace action.
To determine if the CAD Document versions in the workspace are out-of-date with the workspace configuration.
To get the version of a CAD Document’s dependents when the workspace preference option Dependency Processing Type is set to CAD Document Structure.
To set the document configuration specification:
1. From the workspace actions menu, click Edit Preferences to go to Edit Workspace Options for workspace page. Alternatively, under My Workspaces click the edit preferences icon for the workspace.
2. From the Edit Workspace Options for workspace  page, go to the CAD Document Filter controls. Click the Edit FilterEdit Filter  icon.
3. Under the Document Configuration Specification tab, select the type and add the complete product configuration to get the part version for each structure node. You can select from the following types of configuration specifications:
Latest
Baseline
Change
Promotion Request
As Stored

4. Hover your mouse pointer on or click the Current Filter icon to see a summary of the CAD Document filters currently applied. For more information, see  Viewing a Structure’s Current Filter Properties
5. Click  OK to save your settings and return to your active workspace.

If your administrator has already created a filter that is commonly used, you can click on the Saved Filters icon to select the saved filter to reuse it in the workspace.
