Specifying an As Stored Configuration Specification
An As Stored configuration specification selects the CAD Document versions that were in the workspace when you checked in. This configuration is commonly used to return to the versions that were last retrieved in the CAD tool. Typically, you can set a configuration specification for a CAD document when performing some PDM action and the Edit Filter action is available.
To select an as stored configuration specification:
1. Click Edit Filter on your current page
The Edit Filter window opens
2. Select the Configuration Specification tab.
3. Select As Stored from the Choose a Type menu. You can show the As Stored configurations for specific or all the version, or use the generic As Stored configuration.
To show As Stored configurations for all or specific versions, select Show as Stored Configurations For. If you select All Versions, all the as stored versions for the assembly are displayed. If you select the specific revision number from the list, the as stored versions are displayed accordingly.
To select the generic As Stored configuration, select Initially Selected Objects As Stored Configuration.
4. Click Add to include the As Stored filter into the To Be Applied list. Position the new configuration specification filter in the appropriate order using the up and down arrows to the right of the table. You can also select and remove an unwanted filter from the list. If you want to change the version to a different one, you can select the one from the list and click Update.
*
When you hover your mouse pointer anywhere on the As Stored from the list, you can view the check-in comment for the selected version.
5. Click OK to dismiss the Edit Filter window and filter the structure.
The structure is refreshed to display component versions satisfying the new configuration filter criteria.
