Enhancements in the Effectivities
Windchill 13.0.1.0
Description
The following enhancements are introduced in Windchill 13.0.1.0:
Display of the Effectivity End Range
The End-Range becomes visible for the actual effectivities, pending effectivities, and variance effectivities when the Start Range and End Range are the same. The Display of the Effectivity End Range preference controls the display of the effectivity end range when it matches the start range.
Displaying Empty Pending Effectivities
An empty (unassigned) pending effectivity is displayed when no pre-existing pending effectivity exists for a resulting object. The Default Pending Effectivity preference allows you to create an empty effectivity record for the resulting objects.
Creating New Pending Effectivities
You can now selectively control the creation of pending effectivities for resulting objects. You can now select the individual object and can create any type of pending effectivity. You can also view the total set of pending effectivities.
Other Editing Actions
The Copy and Add Effectivity, Set Effectivity Attributes, and Set Effectivity Context actions are not supported for the unassigned effectivity type row. The Modify Effectivity, Effectivity by Version, and Specify Propagation actions are not visible for the unassigned effectivity type row.
Effectivity Performance
A database index on effectivities is provided out-of-the-box to improve the performance when deleting one or more effectivity manageable or effectivity recordable objects. The database index supports Actual, Pending, and Variance effectivities with all types such as Date, Lot, Serial, Block, and MSN.
As a result, the article CS331829: Slow to delete WTPart with Date Effectivity in Windchill PDMLink is obsoleted. This article is no longer necessary after Windchill 13.0.1.0.
