Upgrading Customized Distribution Targets
When a customized distribution target is upgraded to a more recent release of Windchill, it will be labeled as a Distribution Target type. This is because there are no subtypes available for the customized target. After you have migrated your customized distribution targets, you need to create the appropriate subtype distribution target using the Type and Attribute Manager. Once the appropriate distribution target subtype has been created you can convert your customized distribution target to the newly created custom subtype.
To convert a customized distribution target to a different subtype use the following procedure:
1. Navigate to the Manage Distribution utility, available from Utilities under Organization or Site.
2. Select the customized distribution target and click Change Target Type.
3. Select the appropriate subtype.

Once a target has been converted to a subtype the Change Target Type action will no longer be available.
