Manually Loading Database Schema and Base Data
During the installation using the PSI, you are prompted to select your data loader settings. If you choose not to load data using PSI, you must manually load it after PSI installs your solution.
This section describes the commands that you would use to manually load the database schema and base data for Windchill products that are installed in addition to the existing installation of Windchill. These commands must be done using a Windchill shell.

Prior to loading base data for additional products ensure that HTTP Server and LDAP Server are up and running. If a Windchill solution was already installed and its related database schema was loaded, and you install an additional Windchill product on top of it, then you can load only the database schema specific to the additional Windchill product. You cannot load the same database schema twice as this will cause an error to occur.

To load database schema and base data, when additional product of PTC Windchill is installed, use the following load command syntax:
windchill --javaargs="-Dwt.tools.sql.dbUser=<username>
-Dwt.tools.sql.dbPassword=<password>"
wt.tools.sql.SQLCommandTool %WT_HOME%/db/sql/<schema file>
-Dwt.tools.sql.dbPassword=<password>"

Note the following:
• To load the base data and database schema for Windchill Platform Structures module, run the following command:
◦ Loading base data: Open Windchill shell and run the following command:
windchill wt.load.WindchillLoader -Application=Windchill.PlatformStructures
◦ Loading database schema: The Windchill Platform Structures module does not require any manual schema loading. Also, it does not require schema change if you already have installed Windchill PDMLink.
• When using an SQL server database replace all instances of %Windchill%/db/sql with %Windchill%/db/sqlServer on the Load Database Schema command.
• When using Oracle Multi-Byte Support in Windchill, replace all instances of %WT_HOME%/db/sql with %WT_HOME%/db/sql3 on the Load Database Schema command.
• %Windchill% refers to the Windchill directory.
• When loading localized base data for Windchill, replace the value of “-Locale” with locale extension applicable. For example, for Italian set to “-Locale=it“.
• Replace <schema file> with the value from the following table of PTC products.
• Replace <app_ID> with the value from the following table of PTC products.
