The setting of a license profile, enabled or disabled, determines the visibility of user actions for different roles in Windchill. When a license profile is disabled, even if the visibility of actions is enabled in the Configure Actions for Roles table, the actions associated with the license profiles will be hidden or disabled. For example, user A is a member of PTC Contributor License group which provides a user the capability to create a document in Windchill. When the PTC Contributor License profile is disabled, the create document action is disabled or hidden for user A though the visibility to the action for creating document is enabled for user A in the Configure Actions for Roles table.

When a license profile is enabled but if a user action associated with that license profile is disabled in the license profile, tThe visibility of the user action is not disabled in the Configure Actions for Roles table. However, selecting that action does not result in the action being available in the Windchill UI.
