Open in | Enables you to open the associated content in another application. Depending on the type of information element, you see the following choices: • Open Content in Arbortext Editor — Opens a textual information element associated with the content holder in Arbortext Editor. • Open Content in Parts List Editor — Opens a parts list information element associated with the content holder in the Parts List Editor. Open Content in Creo Illustrate — Opens a graphic information element associated with the content holder in Creo Illustrate. • Open in Creo View — Launches the default representation in Creo View. If there is no default representation, Creo View opens with no representation. | ||
Check In | Checks in the content holder. This action is available only if you have permission to update a content holder and it is currently checked out. When a content holder is checked in, this action is disabled, and the Check Out action is enabled. For more information on the check in action, see Checking In an Object. | ||
Check Out | Checks out the content holder. This action is available only if you have permission to update a content holder and it is currently checked in. When a content holder is checked out, this action is unavailable from the list, and the Check In and Undo Check Out actions are enabled. For more information on the check out action, see Checking Out an Object. | ||
Undo Checkout | Releases the reservation on a checked out content holder without saving any changes. No new iteration of the content holder is created. You can only undo the checkout of a content holder that you have previously checked out. For more information on the undo checkout action, see Undoing a Checkout. | ||
Edit Attributes | Opens the Edit Attributes window. From this window you can edit the content holder’s attributes. Editing the attributes changes these values for just the current iteration of the content holder. | ||
Assign Item Choices | Opens the Assign Item Choices window. From this window you can assign options to the content holder. This choice is only available when the object is checked out and an option set has been assigned to the product. For more information on the assigning item choices action, see Assigning Choices to Service Structure Objects. | ||
Save As | Opens the Commonspace Save As window, enabling you to create a new content holder based on the current one. You can include dependent objects in the Save As table by changing the selection in the Dependents menu list to All. However, this does not include the objects associated with content holders in the table. To do that, select the content holders in the table and click the Collect related CAD / Dynamic documents button in the toolbar to add the documents related to content holders to the table. After you have all of the dependent objects you want in the table, you can select them and use Exclude and Reuse to determine which objects to include in the new structure. | ||
Add Graphical Representation | Opens the New Graphical Representation window enabling you to add graphical representations to the content holder of the information element. This action is available in the Representations/Annotations table toolbar. The representation that is marked as the default, is the thumbnail used in Arbortext Content Delivery. Arbortext Content Delivery supports PNG, JPG, and JPEG thumbnails.

Publish Representation | Opens the Publish Representation window, enabling you to publish the content associated with the content holder. To view the representation after it has been created, add a new tab to the service structure information page and select > > . This adds the Representations/Annotations table to your custom tab. For more information, see Publishing from a Service Structure. | ||
Add to | Provides a submenu enabling you to add the content holder to the following areas: • Add to Baseline — Opens the Add to Baseline window, enabling you to add the most recent version of the object to a baseline. You have the option to also collect the objects related to the structure. • Add to Managed Collection — Opens the Add to Managed Collection window, enabling you do add the object to a managed collection. • Add to My Notebook — Opens the Add to My Notebook window, enabling you to add the object to your notebook in the folder location you select. • Add to Package — Opens the Add to Package window, enabling you to add the object to a package. | ||
Compare | Displays a submenu where you can choose how to compare the content holder in the following areas: • Compare Information — Opens a window to search for a content holder to compare against the current one. After a content holder is selected, a second window opens to select comparison options. Comparison results are then displayed in the Comparison Report window. For more information on comparing information, see Comparing Object or Version Information. • Compare to Part Structure — Compares the current content holder to another one of your choosing in a side-by-side comparison window. For more information on comparing two part structures, see Compare to Part Structure. |

Tab | Description |

Details | The Details tab displays the content holder information, including a thumbnail representation of the content holder (if one exists), the content holder’s status and attributes, any applicability information, and a Where Used table where you can view any higher level objects that include the content holder in their structures. |
Related Objects | The Related Objects tab contains the CAD/Dynamic Documents table displaying the content object or objects associated with the content holder. |
Changes | The Changes tab contains tables showing change related objects that are related to the content holder, such as Change Requests and Change Notices. |
History | The History tab contains the Version History and Timeline History tables. The Version History table shows the different iterations of the content holder. The Timeline History table provides a dynamic time line displaying events that have occurred in the development of the content holder, such as new versions and changes in lifecycle state. Use your mouse to move the time scale to the left and right, revealing additional events. Click an event name to see more information. |
