About Information Pages
An information page is a central location for accessing information about and performing actions on a particular
object. While you can see a subset of this information on tables throughout
Windchill, the information page can display all of the information available for the object.
Use the information page to view and interact with the following:
• Identity and status of the object
• Attributes of the object
• Visual representation of the object, if any
• Related objects
• Related information, such as object history
• Actions available to perform on the object
The information and actions available on an information page are unique for each object type. For example, a document information page displays different information and actions than a part information page. As a result, a unique help topic is available for each object type information page. This help appears when you click the help icon
in the upper right corner of the information page.
You can navigate to an information page by:
• Clicking the view information icon
when it appears next to an object.
• Selecting View Information from the right-click actions menu in a table row.
An information page displays information in one or more tabs. You can customize the tabs that appear on each object information page to display the information most useful to you. For more information, see
Customizing Information Pages.
