Creating a Simple Schema
To create a simple schema, use the following procedure:
1. Select the repository type and type identifier for which the schema is being created from the Repository Type and Type Identifier drop-down menus.

Type identifiers that already have an existing schema are identified by a asterisk (*) after their name.
2. Click Manage Schema.
3. On the Create Schema page, select Simple as the type of schema to be created and click Continue.
4. On the Manage Simple Schema page, fill in the following fields:
Field
Description
Type Identifier
Specifies the object type to which the simple schema applies. This field cannot be edited.
Resource Bundle
Specifies the Java class name of the resource bundle from which to get localized strings for the enumerated value labels.
Type
Specifies the type of the simple schema. Possible types include: boolean, double, long, float, int, short, byte, string, date.

By defining schema, the possible types to assign to simple schema and complex schema attributes are extended.
Maximum String Length
Specifies the maximum string length for the attribute.
Enumeration Task
Specify an enumeration task for the attribute. Enumeration tasks are Info*Engine tasks that populate enumerated values at run time.
Add Range
Click to specify a value range for the simple schema. Only numeric types can have specified ranges. For additional information on ranges, including procedures for adding and deleting ranges, see Managing Ranges.

Add Enumerated Value
Click to specify an enumerated value for the simple schema. For additional information on enumerated values, including procedures for adding and deleting enumerated values, see Managing Enumerated Values.

5. Click Save Schema.
