Filtering Service Structure Using Variant Specification
You can filter a service structure or a parts list based on a standalone variant specification that was previously created. The filtering of service structures and parts lists is supported for the standalone variant specification associated with an option set and managed option filter types of variant specification. The Saved Filters menu list in the structure displays the Find Variant Specification action to manage the variant specification filter. The variant specification must be associated with an option set that has been assigned to the container of the service structure or parts list.
To select a variant specification, complete the following steps:
1. Go to a service part or a parts list information page and select the Structure tab.
2. From the Filter action list, click the Saved Filters list and select Find Variant Specifications from the list.
3. In the Select Variant Specification window, select the variant specification and click OK.
The service structure or the parts list is filtered using the selections saved in the selected variant specification. Based on your selections, the three most recent variant specification selections are listed in the Saved Filters list.
Variant specification filtering is not supported in a publishing rule.
