If SOLIDWORKS configurations have not been checked in, you can rename the Name, File Name, and Number of a CAD document in the workspace. If SOLIDWORKS configurations have already been checked in, Rename can only be done in the commonspace.

Changing the name of the CAD document changes the name of the SOLIDWORKS configuration in SOLIDWORKS. The Number can be changed only if autonumbering is off, or if your administrator has set the Windchill preference that allows autonumbering to be overridden when renaming.
