The Revision action enables you to revise a selected object by assigning it to the next revision level available in your revision scheme. The revision scheme represents a sequence of characters that identify subsequent versions of an object. Creating a new revision of an object results in the object, and all objects you choose to associate with it, advancing to the next set revision level. When you revise an object, the latest version of that object is used as the content for the new version. You can, however, choose to revise a non-latest version to be the latest revision subject to certain rules.

The Revision action is only available from the File > New menu on the workspace menu in Windchill. It is not accessible from CATIA V5.
