Configuring Publisher Queues
Over and above the default Publisher Queues automatically created by WVS, there are further configurations that can be performed to improve the management and optimization of the automated publishing mechanism.
Careful planning of the quantity of numbered WVS processing queues and workers is important for achieving the required publishing throughput. As a general rule, the number of processing queues must be at least equal to the number of CAD workers configured. However, the actual number required depends on many factors and needs adjustment based on analysis of the publishing statistics. For more information, see Sizing a Visualization publishing system in the Windchill and Creo View Visualization Getting Started Guide.
You can then monitor your publishing system using the WVS Job Statistics tool, and make adjustments accordingly.
You can configure the following options for Publisher Jobs
Prioritizing WVS Jobs—To determine the order in which jobs are processed, configure the relative prioritization of the WVS jobs sent for publishing based on its type and source.
Configuring Additional Publisher Queues—To increase processing speed, configure.
Configuring Publisher Queue and Worker Availability—To adjust publishing throughput according to availability and work load.
