Set Up Remote File Servers
Perform the following steps to set up your remote file servers:
1. Install the remote file server sites so they are all at the same release level with the main site.
The locations of the remote file server folders must not be changed during the upgrade. The files that are stored there are user-uploaded content referenced from the main site. These files were accessible to Windchill before the upgrade and must be accessible after the upgrade. When the remote file server starts, it will ask the main site for the local storage locations. The main site provides the locations, which is still correct, unless the folders were moved during the upgrade.
2. Start up the sites and make sure that the main site is able to broadcast configurations to the remote file server sites. For detailed broadcast instructions, see the Windchill Installation and Configuration Guide.
