Object Initialization Rules Table
The Object Initialization Rules table lists the rules created in the current context and the rules created in all parent contexts. You can perform actions on the rules listed in the table. The #ObjRuleRef/Actions include actions that can be applied to multiple rules and actions for one rule.
Using the icons at the top of the table, you can perform the following activities:
Delete a rule.
Search the content of the table for a specified set of characters or numbers using the search field at the top of the table. For more information, see Using Tables.
The following table lists the columns in the Object Initialization Rules table:
Column
Description
Name
Specifies the name entered for the rule. The combination of the name and object type specifies a unique rule in the current context.
The display name of the rule is truncated to the corresponding length set by the Truncate Display Names preference. Users can use the Preferences utility from the Utilities page on the Home tab to set this preference. Locate the preference and check the value. If no value set, then there is no truncation; the full name is shown in the Object Initialization Rules table.
Type
The object type display name.
Enabled
Specifies whether the rule is enabled. Only enabled rules are used by the Windchill solution to determine default values.
Context
Identifies the context in which the rule was created.
