Add to Managed Collection
Use the Add to Managed Collection action to alter the contents of a managed collection. The contents are based on initially selected objects and various collection options. After adding objects to or removing objects from the managed collection, you can configure collection rules to drive the collection of the contents from the set of initially selected objects. For example, adding an assembly and using the default collection rules populates the managed collection content with all parts in the assembly structure. You can specify specific collection rules to gather documents, drawings, or other objects related to the assembly. The managed collection maintains memory of the initially selected objects and the collection options, which allows the managed collection to be regenerated using the Refresh action.
Add to managed collection is available from the Actions menu on the object information page or right-click actions menu from the Folder page. By using the Add to Managed Collection action, you are checking out the managed collection. If another user visits the information page for the managed collection, the checked out glyph appears until you have completed your action.
