Editing a Part Instance
Part instances may be edited to change the base part version or associated part configuration. Use the following procedure to edit a part instance:
1. Select Edit from the actions list on a part instance information page. The Edit Part Instance window appears.
2. Modify the Base Part Version by selecting a different version from the drop-down list.
3. Modify the Part Configuration by selecting a different part configuration from the drop down list.
4. Modify additional attributes in the Attributes section.

You will only see the Attributes section if your administrator has defined additional attributes for part instances.

The part instance information page is refreshed to show the changes.
