Occurrences Tab
An occurrence is a database object that stores information about one named usage of a part within a redline structure. For more information Part’s occurrences, see Occurrence Tab. The Occurrences tab is always visible.
The following table describes the actions shown in the default table view on the Occurrences tab:

Remove
Remove the selected associated part.
Edit
Edit occurrences related with the selected part.
The color code indicates the old and new values for the occurrences attributes.
The following table describes the part attributes shown in the default table view on the Occurrences tab. For a detailed description of all part attributes, see the Attributes Description section in Uses Tab.

Description
Change Indicator
The summary of type of occurrence change that occurred when comparing the base object with the redline
Number
The unique numeric identifier for the part. This attribute may be automatically supplied by a standard part number generator when parts are created in your system.
Name
The text identifier for the part. The name does not have to be unique.
Reference Designator
An alphanumeric code used to identify individual occurrences of a part used within a product structure.
Location
The location of the occurrences for a part usage.
Build Status
The information of the build rule and the CAD model. The build rules are used by the Windchill build service to create or update CAD and Windchill product structures.

You cannot modify the Build Status; you can only view it in the redline structure browser: the Uses tab and Occurrence tab.

Change Indicators for Occurrences
The change indicator displays the summary of type of change that occurred when comparing the base object with the redline.
The following table explains the icon and description for the Change Indicator column:

Blank
Indicates that the occurrence is not modified.
Edit
Indicates that the part occurrences are modified.
Insert
Indicates that the part is inserted into the redline structure.
Remove
Indicates that the part occurrence is removed from the redline structure.

When you remove the last occurrence for a part, a pop-up message window is displayed. If the Also remove the uses relationship check box is selected, the occurrence and the usage link are removed. You can view the redline for the removed part. If the check box is not selected, the usage link is maintained and only the selected occurrences are removed.
Insert New
Indicates that a new part is inserted into the redline structure and that its associated occurrence is new.
Insert Existing
Indicates that the existing part is inserted into the redline structure and that its associated occurrence is new.
Replace with Existing
Indicates that the part is replaced with the existing part into the redline structure.
Replace with New
Indicates that the part is replaced with a new part into the redline structure.
