Viewing CAD Document’s Model Item Structures
On the information page for a CAD or dynamic document that contains Model Items, you can select the Model Item Structure tab to display a hierarchical table that allows you to see the tree structure of an object and its components without having to open their authoring application.
The Model Item Structure tab in the information tab for a CAD document contains tools for displaying and editing structures. When you select the Model Item Structure tab, the area below the toolbar is divided into panes. The left pane displays the structure tree, while the right pane contains information organized into tabs. The following table lists these tabs:

Lists the related parts for the model item structure.

In addition to a default view of the structure, the Model Item Structure tab allows you to customize your view of the structure and perform certain actions. The following table lists the view controls and actions available in the actions tool bar.

Actions may be unavailable for certain selected objects, depending on their status, or on whether you are viewing the workspace or commonspace version of the information page.

Opens the Manage Related Information window, allowing you to select or deselect the types of related objects to be displayed.

Views

This menu offers the following options.
• Default—Displays the system default view of the Model Item Structure tab
• Manage Structure Views—Opens the Customize View List: Model Item Structure Tree window, that allows you to create and save a customized view of the Model Item Structure tab. For more information, see Customizing Table Views.

Display
|
This menu offers the following options. • Expand All Levels  —Allows you to globally expand the structure to show all children.• Collapse All Levels  — Hides all children• 2-Pane Display • 3-Pane Display • Refresh |

In the pane to the right of the structure pane, the Attributes tab can be selected. The CAD document attributes of the object currently selected in the structure pane are displayed.
