PTC Business Administrative Change Management Domain
The PTC Business Administrative Change Management (BACMgmt) domain provides access to the Business Administrative Change (BAC) management capabilities in Windchill. BAC management provides a way to move administrative changes made in a development or pre-production Windchill environment to a production set up.
Changes to the business objects can be imported to the pre-production environment, conflict resolution can be done in the pre-production environment and then these conflict resolutions are bundled with an imported BAC package. A revised package is made available for download in the pre-production environment and exported to the production environment.
Changes to the administrative objects made in the source system are tested and approved before exporting the change. Changes to the administrative objects include creating a new object, modifying an existing object, or deleting an existing object. After successful import, the changes are available on the target system.
